Neurology
Before being referred to the Community Clinics for Dermatology, Urology or Gynaecology you will have discussed treatment of your condition with your GP. Once you have been referred to us you will be invited to come to one of our clinics where you will you will receive a full consultation with an experienced Clinician. This will include the diagnosis of the underlying condition and the subsequent management and treatment. Diagnosis may involve the use of ultrasound, uroflowmetry, biopsy, blood tests or allergy tests (depending on the clinic you have been referred to). Our Clinicians will be happy to talk with you about any concerns you may have, and will explain in everyday terms the options available for treatment.
Your first full consultation is typically 15-20 minutes and the Clinician will advise on whether any procedures are required or follow up appointments to monitor progress and the appropriate frequency.
All appointments will be confirmed in a letter or appointment card with the date, time and any additional information required.
